What It Is Made From

The fiber question decides color, strength, surface feel and how simple your recycling message stays.

Molded pulp is made from plant fiber — recycled paper and cardboard, sugarcane bagasse, bamboo or virgin kraft pulp. The fiber choice affects color, strength and surface feel: recycled fiber gives natural grey-brown tones, bagasse and bamboo a light cream, and virgin pulp the brightest white.

Plain, uncoated trays follow normal paper and cardboard recycling in most markets. Items with food residue, added coatings, labels or accessories should follow local waste rules. Tell us your market and we will advise on the fiber and finish combination that keeps your recycling claim simple.

Fiber products break down where industrial composting facilities accept them, and thinner items compost more quickly than thick ones. Whether a specific product carries a compostability certificate depends on the item, the coating and the standard your market requires — ask us for the current document set for the product you have in mind.

For many protective applications, yes. Molded pulp is used for electronics inserts, cosmetics and spirits trays, egg cartons, food service ware, appliance corner pads and general cushioning. Send us the product you are protecting and we will confirm which of the two process routes fits it best.

Natural, white and original tones take their color from the fiber itself; custom colors are dyed to match your brand reference. Unbleached natural keeps the simplest recycling message, and dyed pulp remains a fiber product. See the full customization options.

02 · Design & Customization

From Your Product to a Finished Shape

What you can customize, what we need from you, and what fiber can realistically hold.

Yes. Custom geometry is the normal case: we start from your idea, sketch, 3D file or physical product, prepare design drawings and 3D models, and produce a sample for your approval before any volume production.

Helpful inputs are your product dimensions or a physical sample, a sketch or reference photo, your 3D file (STEP, IGES or STL) if one exists, plus the quantity you are planning and the market it ships to. A product photo alone is enough for us to start the conversation.

Color options are natural, white, original and custom dyed shades. Finishing covers debossing and embossing, gold and silver foil stamping, printing and a waterproof surface treatment. Accessories include printed sleeves, labels, paper handles, ribbons, elastic cords and eco paper boxes.

Yes — via debossing or embossing, foil stamping or printing. Artwork is adapted to what fiber can actually hold, so very fine lines and very small text are usually simplified so the mark stays sharp in production.

Pressed fiber is firm, rigid and board-like, and holds its shape under load, so the formed tray supports the product and keeps it from shifting inside the carton. The shape is built around your product, so protection comes from the structure of the packaging itself.

03 · Tooling, Production & Quality

How It Gets Made

Tooling stages, inspections and the documents that matter for regulated markets.

Every custom shape needs tooling. A sample mould is made first so you can hold a real prototype; once the sample is confirmed, production tooling is built for volume. The schedule depends on the geometry and is confirmed with the drawing, together with your project timeline. The full sequence is on the how we work page.

Three checkpoints run on every project: incoming material inspection (IQC), final inspection of the formed parts before packing (FQC), and outgoing inspection of the packed cartons before loading (OQC). Your approved sample becomes the reference for the whole production run. Details are on the quality control page.

Wall thickness follows the process route and the product's strength requirement, so it is defined on the drawing rather than quoted as one general figure. The approved sample fixes the dimensions that production is then held to.

04 · Ordering, MOQ & Shipping

Working Together

Quantities, timing, packing and how export shipments are prepared.

Stocked products start at 1,000 pieces. Custom products start at 10,000 pieces. Special products are confirmed case by case.

Timing is agreed per project once the drawing and sample are approved, because tooling and production are separate stages. Sample lead time, production lead time and shipping transit are stated separately in the quotation so you can plan backwards from your own deadline.

Yes. Sample making is a standard stage of every project: a sample mould is produced, a real sample is formed in the material and finish you would receive in bulk, and you test it before the specification is locked.

Products are inspected, packed to your marking requirements and loaded for long-distance freight, so the cartons arrive in the condition they were packed. Export documents are prepared to match your customs requirements.
